Dr.-Ing. Detlev Markus is currently serving as Head of Division “Chemical Physics and Explosion Protection” at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany, since 2024 . He holds a doctorate in engineering from the University of Stuttgart and has extensive expertise in combustion science, flame transmission, and explosion safety. Over his career, he has led multiple research groups and departments at PTB, focusing on energy technology and safety. He has also contributed significantly to the field through numerous high-impact publications on ignition processes, hydrogen safety, and combustion modeling.
Prof. Venu Gopal Achanta is a distinguished physicist and academician renowned for his extensive contributions to the fields of photonics, plasmonics, and nanophotonics. With a prolific research career spanning over two decades, he has made significant advancements in understanding light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 research publications in leading international journals. His research interests are in the application of nanophotonics to single molecule and single photon spectroscopy through light-matter interaction in non-perturbative regimes. He has over 150 journal publications.

Dr. Shankar G. Aggarwal is a distinguished scientist specializing in air quality measurement, aerosol science, and environmental metrology. His research focuses on aerosol atmospheric chemistry and physics, gas and particulate metrology, air quality measurements and instrumentation, control technology development and measurement. Alongwith publications in reputed international journal, he also holds multiple patents related to air sampling systems, particulate matter measurement, and environmental monitoring technologies.
Dr. Sushil Kumar is Chief Scientist at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi and Honorary Professor of Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR). He has over 200 publications in national & international journals and proceedings and 10 patents. Presently his research interest is on emerging hetero-junction PV devices and recycling of end-of-life solar panels as a sustainable approach towards circular economy.
Dr. Bharath possesses more than eight years of international research experience in electrochemical and photoelectrochemical CO₂ conversion, green hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis, biomass valorization, wastewater treatment, and advanced catalytic materials. He has published more than 140 research articles in reputed international journals, with over 8,500 citations and an H-index of 56, and has been recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University.
Dr. Manohara Gudiyor Veerabhadrappa is a Senior Scientist with over 15 years of international experience in technology development, innovation, and programme management across industry, academia, and government research. His expertise includes CCUS, hydrogen technologies, advanced materials, and industrial decarbonisation. He leads the development of metrology infrastructure for CCUS deployment and has delivered multidisciplinary projects from concept to commercialisation. A Chartered Chemist and recipient of Royal Society Exceptional Talent recognition, he is the co-inventor of 11 granted US patents and author of numerous publications focused on advancing low-carbon technologies.
